Our purpose is to promote the mutual benefit of members and their common interests in cultural, educational, philanthropic and civic betterment.
We inform and educate our members at our monthly meetings held at the Minnesota Valley Country Club. Not only do our monthly meetings include a lunch and general meeting, but also speakers from many diverse backgrounds. This year (Sept. 2016 – April 2017) we will have a musical ventriloquist, a handbell choir, several authors, information on Stroke Prevention and a program on the amazing Monarch Butterflies.
The BFWC hosts many small fundraisers during the year and one major fundraiser each year to support our Scholarship Program. Our major fundraiser is a Luncheon and Style Show with a Marketplace. The marketplace vendors sell a variety of items and give the club a percentage of their sales. This year it will be held on November 5, 2016
Many of our members also do volunteer work for the community organizations we support. Our members truly share friendship, caring, and commitment.
