Philanthropy and Community Service

The Bloomington Federated Woman’s Club supports three major community organizations:  Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), Oasis for Youth, and Cornerstorne with occasional special donation drives during the year as well as the hours donated by our members.  Other projects include Flags for Fort Snelling — placing flags at the gravestones of veterans interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetary prior to Memorial as well as collecting school supplies for children distributed through V.E.A.P.

MOBILE LOAVES TWIN CITIES

In April BFWC held a drive within our club to provide feminine hygiene products for this organization’s distribution to low-income families and homeless encampments. Government assistance programs don’t allow funds to be spent on these very necessary items, so Mobile Loaves Twin Cities puts together packages of items to cover one month’s cycle and requested our help to replenish their supplies. BFWC club members donated 1,180 tampons and 2,085 pads
